We have always supported our business community in Chichester and helped out wherever we can, especially where charity fundraising is concerned! So when we heard about Brad Ainsworth from Cathedral Wealth Management, financial advisors in Chichester, and Brendon Cook from KIWI recruitment in South Street, Chichester were taking on the Everest Base Camp Challenge, we were very keen to reach out and help.
In April 2020 they will be flying out to Nepal to start their hike, of which I am sure there will be many challenges along the way, After chatting with Brad, the effort he has put in so far with the rigorous training at Core Results Gym in Chichester, and the preparation walking he has to do for the challenge is very intense!! Hats off to both of them.
The recent Australian fires have destroyed massive amounts of land, homes and habitats, and claimed the lives of a devastating amount of animals. Experts have warned that up to a TRILLION animals could die from the fires (according to Evolutionary biologist, conservationist and broadcaster Prof Ben Garrod, at the University of East Anglia). The catastrophe has pushed Australia into a ‘state of disaster’ Which certainly pulled on the hearts strings of Brad and Brendon.
So the team at Creations, KIWI recruitment have joined forces to do a 60-mile challenge in 1 day, starting at 5am. 60 miles will be the distance Brad and Brendon will walk over the time, however we will be doing it in the comfort of a warm salon, on a flat treadmill! This will take place on the 9th April 2020.
In addition to this, on the 10th April, we have The Creations Bake Off, judged by the wonderful Jan Ellison of The Sweet Jar in South Street Chichester. So if you think you have the skills and creativity to bake, enter your cake by 9am Friday 10th April to be in the chance of winning a lovely bottle of champagne.
Brad and Brendon’s target is £5,000. All the money raised will help the efforts of emergency responders and affected animals and wildlife. The money raised from this event will go towards veterinary costs, koala milk and supplements, extra holding and rehabilitation enclosures and much more. On top of that, all expenses of the trip are entirely funded by Brad and Brendon, so every penny will go to the cause.
