So let me take you back in time, the year is 1997, the summer was a particularly wet one in Chichester, and the average price for a 2 bed flat in our beautiful city was around £100,000 (wow haven’t times changed)
It was a tragic year, with the demise of 2 very influential women, Princess Diana along with her lover and driver, killed in that awful high-speed crash in Paris. Along with Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, after 40 years of tending to the poor and sick in Calcutta, passed away.
But on a lighter note, Britpop was in full swing, Titanic was on the big screen and scooping up at the Oscars, and the quote of the year was ‘Oh My God, They Killed Kenny’ – South Park.
All the while, over in the depths of Fareham in Hampshire, one lady was plotting and scheming to open a salon in prosperous city such as Chichester, where a team of creative people could grow and develop, and the clients could feel at ease in a friendly and professional environment… nearly 20 years later, Carolyn Sweeney from Creations Hair Salon in Chichester has certainly achieved that!
With around 50% of her loyal team being with her 10 years or more, this is certainly testament to her nurturing attitude to management, and for a huge proportion of our wonderful customers who visit Creations on a regular basis, have been loyal to the salon since the day we were born!
