The team at Creations have so much planned over the next few months and knowing how supportive you all are I thought I should keep you abreast of what is happening.
On October 22nd 2015 Carla, Michelle, Claire and Holly will return to the Kwazulu Natel region of South Africa to continue the work of the 2014 Creations in Africa team. Each of them needs to raise £2500 in order to go on the trip and to raise enough for one house build and a further £3000 to continue our food projects from last year.
Fundraising started with our annual Hearts and Diamonds Ball in February which took our funds up to £5000 and was a huge success. To get ready for the months ahead the team have been training at Core Results in Chichester to get their strength up and fitness for the challenges they face.
Michelle is running several half marathons of which two he has completed already! She is also running the Bognor and Arundel 10k and along with Carla will be abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth later this year.
On Sunday 3rd May Claire, Michelle and Holly who joined us last year in Africa along with partners and friends jumped 15000 ft from a plane in Salisbury in this year’s Sky Dive – WOW go girls!! Claire will also be running two 5k runs and the Arundel 10k with Michelle
On June 7th the annual Creations ‘Big Walk’ will take place organised by Gary taking 25/30 participants on a 15 mile coastal walk.
The walk will see many clients and staff coming together to raise money for the Africa trip. Two weeks later Gary and Emma will also be taking part in the Rowans Hospice 12 Mile Moonlit walk with Michelle as a challenge for Africa but also to support the hospice, a charity VERY close to my heart.
