I cant believe its the morning of our trip to Africa! Its Such a strange and exciting feeling! So much has lead to this moment and so much money has been raised!
Its thanks to the amazing team and clients at Creations that all this has been possible but it is the work of one exceptional woman that lead us to raise over £26,000! Emma re-joined the team 4 years ago and her passion for helping other soon became clear.
Creations really has become a community salon from pamper days at hospitals and hospices in the area, raising money for local community projects, special salon evenings for Macmillan and the Down Sydrome Society and many other events and fundraising headed up by our very own Emma.
In the past two years alone Emma has organised; A family fun day, rowing at the cross, rowing the channel, The hearts and diamonds ball, pamper evenings, woman of the year awards and many, many other community events at local shops and hospitals. Her passion for helping others and wanting to improve life for those in need is quite special.
So its just hit 12pm and soon we are all meeting to head to our flight and 24 hours travelling including two flights, a 5 hour car journey and 1 hour walk to get to our hostel. We really hope to be able to blog while we are in Africa so keep an eye out. (fingers crossed)
