When I was 11 I had the voice of an angel (Choir of the year in fact) the flawless skin of a new born and the flowing locks of a member of Westlife…..
Then I hit 13. I then found myself with the voice of Joe Pasquale mixed with the late Deidre Barlow. I had skin like a volcanic landscape and hair like Simon Cowell on a good day – Yes I was a fully-fledged teenager!
I can distinctly remember when I had acne 20 years ago (had it for 4 years in my teens). I can especially remember how it knocks your confidence which is why I can sympathize with you — if there is one skin disorder that can really mess up someone in their early life, acne is it. Apparently (and this is quite shocking) more than 80% of all teenagers suffer from acne and more than a quarter of them will have permanent, visible acne scars. About 20% of all adults also suffer from acne. That certainly helps put things into perspective!

Teenagers love to experiment with their hair and not always with success. 2015 sees the continuation of the popular Ombre and Balayage a non-committal colour as the roots are not coloured just the mid lengths or tips. Giving subtle lighter hair with out up keep. It is not advised for under 16’s to colour their hair as they could have a greater reaction to home/salon colours. Ombre is the perfect answer as colour doesn’t touch the scalp and will give you individuality/ summer hair without risk.
